in tears while filming an \u2018intense\u2019 stunt for her new film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.<\/p>\n<p>The 37-year-old is leading the way in <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/16\/keanu-reeves-explains-body-cant-cope-another-john-wick-movie-22200101\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the action spin-off of Keanu Reeves\u2019 iconic franchise<\/a>, which hit the big screen today.<\/p>\n<p>In the blockbuster, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/06\/06\/i-think-women-strong-regardless-john-wick-ballerina-director-ana-de-armas-23350063\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">directed by Len Wiseman<\/a>, she played Eve Macarro, an assassin trained by the Ruska Roma who is on her own journey of revenge over her dad\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n<p>Unpacking a brutal sequence in which <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2019\/10\/13\/keanu-reeves-produces-john-wick-spin-off-really-ready-female-led-reboots-10910451\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">her character used a flamethrower against some bad guys<\/a>, the <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/james-bond\/\">James Bond<\/a> actress explained that she became emotional during the first time she rehearsed the stunt before the cameras started rolling.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I remember the first day the stunt team was practicing with the fire, and they told me to go do it before the shoot, and I said, \u201cNo, no, no, I’ll be fine\u201d,\u2019 she told <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/ana-de-armas-john-wick-ballerina-flamethrower-scene-exclusive-11723708\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018They got the main fire guy that gets burned, and he’s all covered in this sticky grease or whatever they put for protection, and they’re like, \u201cOkay, go ahead. I’m glad I practiced the day before, and I cried the day before.<\/p>\n<p>‘But it’s amazing to see what [the stunt team] do – I can’t believe you guys put yourself through this. Not one dull or boring scene. Great world building.
