GamingGrab a second-hand game alongside your bucket of chicken, as delivery app Just Eat starts taking orders from the UK’s biggest gaming retailer.
Thanks to the wonders of the internet, it’s never been easier to buy video games, either digitally or physically, even if you still have to wait for them to be downloaded or delivered. But now the terminally impatient can cut down the wait time to mere minutes.
Anyone can buy a game at the touch of a button on their phones or gaming consoles, but now delivery app Just Eat has made the process easier, if you get a hankering for a second-hand copy of Bulletstorm (or whatever) on the Xbox 360, at the same time as a McDonald’s.
That’s right, UK games retailer CeX is now taking orders through Just Eat, allowing you to have games, consoles, cables, controllers, and movies delivered straight to your door in ‘around 30 minutes’.
‘We’re delighted to expand the reach of CeX to millions of Just Eat customers, making it even faster for them to get the tech treats on demand,’ CeX boss, David Butler, said.
‘Just Eat customers can now enjoy the most popular CeX products and quality items, all covered by CeX’s unrivalled free five year warranty, but straight to your door.’
The five year warranty is a key part of this, as you won’t be able to check the condition of the disc or box when you’re ordering through an app (and online generally).
The main perk of this move is that physical second-hand games are usually much cheaper than buying games digitally, so it might be a sneaky way to bag a bargain from your local area without shifting from the sofa (if you don’t mind the inevitable delivery fees, of course).
The main caveat is whether you have a CeX within delivery distance, but considering there are over 390 stores across the UK, there’s a high chance you do.
The other danger to consider is whether you’d want to risk ordering a PlayStation 5 alongside a batch of greasy chicken and milkshakes, but the urge to play Returnal at the midnight hour gets to us all.

FilmJames Bond speculation is a favourite pastime of both Brits and film fans alike, as we endure the agonising wait for a formal casting to be announced.
Since Daniel Craig completed his last assignment as 007 in 2021 with No Time to Die, we’ve survived three years of gossip and rumours with no confirmation as to who the new actor to take up the spy’s licence to kill could be.
This speculation has only intensified following an historic deal in which creative control of the franchise was handed to Amazon after Amazon Studios purchased MGM+ for $8.45billion (£6.7billion).
While Aaron Taylor-Johnson is still considered the favourite for the role, a source firmly denied his involvement in March when the speculation reached fever pitch.
In the months since, several new candidates have shaken up the Bond race too, as bookies and fans keep a sharp eye on rising talent and major new Netflix stars. Now, there’s a new Bond potential on the scene – Slow Horses star Jack Lowden.
The list of contenders for the role is drastically different to three years ago, when Idris Elba, Tom Hardy and Game of Thrones and Marvel actor Richard Madden dominated the conversation.
So, who could be the next James Bond in 2024? Let’s take a look at the most likely bets…
Tornado and Slow Horses star Jack Lowden has become an unlikely favourite to become the next Bond.
His odds currently sit at 3/1, shooting up the list after previously sitting at 8/1 putting him above previous favourites Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavill.
The 34-year-old Scottish actor is best known for his role as River Cartwright in thriller series Slow Horses as well as appearing in The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power, Dunkirk, and Mary Queen of Scots.
Lowden’s wife, Saoirse Ronan, thinks her husband has what it takes to play the superspy after expressing her interest to take on the role of a villain in the franchise.
When asked if Lowden could also play a villain or if he’d be a better Bond, she told the Happy Sad Confused podcast: ‘He should be Bond. If it’s a choice between the two.
‘Isn’t it nice that I’ve done that?’
James Norton is another star who has experienced years of speculation surrounding the Bond role.
The Happy Valley star, who was nominated for a Bafta for playing the villainous Tommy Lee Royce in the hit series, boasts a 15-year onscreen career including roles in Doctor Who, McMafia, and War & Peace, as well as his long-term role as vicar Sidney Chambers in Grantchester between 2014 and 2019.
He has also appeared in movies like Mr Turner and Little Women opposite Emma Watson and Florence Pugh.
Norton, 38, even revealed what he could bring to the role back in 2021, ahead of No Time To Die’s release.
‘I’m a type one diabetic. How cool would it be to have a diabetic Bond?,’ he commented to Metro.
‘It would be wonderful for all those diabetic kids out there to think even a type one diabetic could be Bond! Other than that, I’d leave it to Daniel and the writers to carry on the legacy.’
The star also praised Craig for ‘re-defining it for a modern era and it’s this human role in a really wonderful way’.
He currently has odds of 3/1 from bookies.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s name has been on everyone’s lips most frequently in the Bond conversation in recent years.
The 34-year-old has been the hot favourite ever since it was reported in December 2022 that he had apparently shot the classic 007 gun barrel sequence that appears in the official opening for every Bond movie.
Taylor-Johnson, who will be seen in the lead role in Kraven the Hunter later this year, has understandably tired of the intense casting speculation since then.
When asked if he gets ‘sick of being asked about Bond’ at the Fall Guy premiere in April, the star sighed and responded, ‘Are you sick of asking the question?’.
If Taylor-Johnson has been given the role, he’s got strong support from his Back to Black filmmaker wife Sam Taylor-Johnson, as well as a former James Bond himself, Pierce Brosnan.
His current odds are at 9/2, meaning it’s thought more likely to happen than not for him.
However, it’s Broccoli and her fellow producer and half-brother Michael G. Wilson who hold the power to anoint the new James Bond, regardless of who the public might want.
Now we approach the business end of proceedings and an actor who has been in contention to play the suave spy for possibly the longest of anyone – Henry Cavill.
Cavill actually lost out to Craig last time Bond was being cast, way back in 2005, because he was deemed too young for the role at the time at just 22.
Almost 20 years later though, and the Superman actor and star of The Witcher still has many fans pulling for him, especially because he made it so far last time.
In November 2021, he told The Hollywood Reporter that ‘nothing is off the table’ in terms of him replacing Craig.
‘I think it would be very exciting to have a conversation with the producers. In an ideal world, I’d never have to turn anything down,’ the 41-year-old shared.
‘Nothing is off the table. It’s an honour to even be part of that conversation.’
However producer Barbara Broccoli has since indicated that they are looking for a younger actor to take on the role – someone in their late 20s or early 30s – as signing up to the franchise is likely to be a 10 to 12 year commitment.
Despite this, Cavill’s odds are 5/1.
Theo James also sits at 5/1 after his successful stint leading Guy Ritchie’s The Gentleman series for Netflix and Osgood Perkins’ insane horror film The Monkey.
The 39-year-old White Lotus star also ticked off a very Bond-worthy advertising campaign recently after writhing around on a boat in a tiny pair of white trunks with model Victoria Ceretti for a new Dolce and Gabbana advert.
James has appeared in everything from the Divergent film series with Shailene Woodley to Underworld movies with Kate Beckinsale and appeared as Lady Mary’s lover who memorably expired in bed in the first-ever episode of Downton Abbey.
He’s also flexed his brooding British muscles as original male lead Sidney Parker in the period drama Sanditon, before exiting the Jane Austen series after one season, breaking fans’ hearts.
The actor appears pretty comfortably in play for the role of Bond.
Babygirl star Harris Dickinson has proved a popular choice for 007 after appearing in the steamy thriller with Nicole Kidman.
Harris, 28, made his film debut in the 2017 coming-of-age drama Beach Rats, scoring acclaim for his performance as lost teenager Frankie.
He went on to star in the Disney blockbuster sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and appeared in The King’s Man, Where the Crawdads Sing, and the 2023 best picture nominee Triangle of Sadness.
Prior to his star-making performance in Babygirl, he appeared opposite Zac Efron in tragic wrestling biopic The Iron Claw.
He was rumoured last year to be in the running as young John Lennon in Sam Mendes’ series of films about The Beatles.
His odds are at 11/2.
Callum Turner has already proved he can handle action in the TV show Masters of the Air, and has also featured in the film Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. He’s got the acting chops, but he’s also not so famous that he couldn’t just be associated with the Bond role, which could be appealing to the bosses.
You may know him for his film work, but you might also be aware of Turner, 34, through his relationship with a very famous pop star – Dua Lipa – who definitely adds to his star power.
Lipa would also be an excellent choice for the Bond theme song, and perhaps even a little cameo after her mermaid impression in Barbie. Did someone say power couple?
His odds with betideas.com have gone to 8/1.
After starring alongside Daniel Craig in Variety’s Actors on Actors series, fans were convinced it was simply the industry foreshadowing that Josh O’Connor would take over as 007.
Josh, 34, known for portraying a young King Charles III in Netflix’s The Crown, as well as starring in Challengers, La Chimera, and Lee, has an impressive portfolio.
However, he seemed to dash hopes of taking on the role in a recent interview with Deadline.
Speaking to the news outlet, he reportedly smiled as he was asked his thoughts on the matter, admitting: ‘I have no thoughts, really.
‘The truth is that … I think in the space of a week, I made a joke about, wouldn’t it be funny if I played Bond? Then, me and Daniel [Craig] did an Actors on Actors, and then something else happened, and then suddenly I was James Bond.’
He continued: ‘If I am Bond, I don’t know about it.’
Despite this, his odds are still at 8/1.
Paul Mescal was first tipped for the role of Bond in 2020 following his successful stint in Normal People.
His odds have been up and down ever since, peaking after he appeared in Gladiator 2 alongside Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington.
Mescal’s odds of starring in Bond are at 10/1, placing him firmly in the top 10.
He has a packed slate looking into the future after gis role as Lucius Verus in the Gladiator sequel, next appearing in Oliver Hermanus’ The History of Sound based on the short story by Ben Shattuck.
Mescal will also star in Chloé Zhao’s historical drama Hamnet as William Shakespeare alongside the likes of Jessie Buckley, Joe Alwyn, and Emily Watson.
Richard Linklater’s epic musical Merrily We Roll Along also has Mescal attached.
It is told over the course of 20 years and does not yet have a release date- which could put a spanner in the works for Mescal being announced as Bond in the near-future.
Regé-Jean Page, 36, is an actor who has stuck around when it comes to potential Bonds for a while.
The star broke through at the end of 2020 with his leading role as Simon Basset in the first season of Netflix’s smash hit period drama Bridgerton.
This left him perfectly poised to enter the race as an established new talent as Craig stepped down from the role the following autumn.
Three years later and he’s still a name bookies will take bets on, appearing in the top 10, although he’s slipped down the ranks a little.
He most recently appeared in the star-studded thriller Black Bag alongside former Bond star Pierce Brosnan as well as Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Marisa Abela, Tom Burke, and Naomie Harris.
In recent odds, he was placed as a slightly stronger candidate at 14/1.
Jack Lowden 3/1 (was 8/1)
James Norton 3/1
Aaron Taylor-Johnson 9/2
Henry Cavill 5/1
Theo James 5/1
Harris Dickinson 11/2 (was 9/1)
Callum Turner 8/1 (was 16/1)
Josh O’Connor 8/1
Paul Mescal 10/1
Rege-Jean Page 14/1
Lucien Laviscount 16/1
Richard Madden 18/1
Aidan Turner 20/1
Sope Dirisu 20/1
Paapa Essiedu 22/1
Cillian Murphy 25/1
Idris Elba 25/1
Tom Hardy 25/1

MusicMARIS knows the thrill of hesitation. The Montana-bred pop musician’s latest single, “Give Me A Sign” featuring Caroline Kingsbury, which premieres today on PAPER, captures that split-second of uncertainty before making a move.
“It’s about the nerves that come with making the first move,” MARIS says. “I wanted to capture that cocktail of desperate emotion.” Growing up in Montana, she knew the risk of misreading a moment. Now, that same uncertainty lingers in adulthood, just with a different backdrop. “Give Me A Sign” distills that tension into a song that’s both anxious and electric, designed to get stuck in your head.
With a DIY lyric video and an upcoming tour with Maude Latour, MARIS is stepping into a new era — bolder, sharper, and still dancing around the edge of impulse. “I’m so grateful to be a queer woman making art like this,” she says. “And I’m so proud of what we made.”
Watch the premiere of “Give Me A Sign” below, and read on for our full conversation with MARIS.
What was the inspiration behind the song?
Growing up in Montana, I had some intimate experiences with other girls pretty early on in my life. But ones that were always filled with caution and nervousness about being caught, or even worse, making a move on a straight girl who will tell everyone and ruin your social life. And now, in my adulthood, those same feelings of nervousness to make the first move ooze out when I have a crush on a girl. The layered emotions of rejection mixed with isolation congregate to create a cocktail of desperate emotion that I wanted to capture in song.
How did you translate the song into the video?
I was really inspired by the view of someone in someone else’s sunglasses, and I started to search on Pinterest for different inspiration pics. We ended up making the lyric video super scrappy, and I made the shot list with clip art.
What are some challenges or highlights from creating the music video?
Well, the biggest challenge is the money and the costs. I don’t come from money, but I’ve always been a hustler so I always make it work somehow. It just happens. The highlights are working with Vile Sanchez, Peter Pavlakis, Charlie Hong and Chris Wronka, who all contributed to this video. It’s so heartwarming to think of all the people who work hard to realize my visions.
How do you hope fans feel when they see the video and hear your track?
I hope they feel like they wanna shake some ass and embrace their yearning. Whatever way it manifests.
What are you working on and excited to share with fans next?
We’ve got more music and visuals on the way, and a really killer live show that I’m so proud of to tour over the next year. Catch me opening for Maude Latour this spring for a sneak peek.
Any additional news or highlights you’d like to share with PAPER readers?
I’m just so grateful I get to make queer art, and that the community before me laid the groundwork and blazed so many trails that enable me to express my experience wholeheartedly and honestly. I’m so grateful to be a queer woman, and I’m so grateful to Caroline for lending her voice and her power to me for this tune. I’m so proud of what we made. Thank you for watching.

FilmMurray Bartlett is one of the stars of the new film Opus, and in a candid chat, he opened up about being repeatedly killed off on screen.
The Australian actor, 53, has been in the industry for decades but came into mainstream consciousness after his appearance as Armond in the 2021 series The White Lotus.
The actor played the hotel manager, who was stabbed to death accidentally by a hotel guest who mistakes him for an intruder in his room.
Following this iconic role, he went on to appear in The Last of Us as yet another character who ends up being killed off on-screen – albeit in a rather more unfunny way.
‘I don’t know why I die a lot on the screen, but you know, I’m not mad at it. My character in White Lotus dies at the end, and there’s something very right about that,’ he told Metro.
‘And there’s something great in a way of that’s the life of that character in that one season. Some of the other characters could come back. He couldn’t like, he’s gone.’
He then joked: ‘I mean, it’s a little scary because then you’re like, I’m now unemployed, but also it’s like, now I get to go on to the next adventure.
‘But when it starts to happen again and again, you’re like, “man, I better bring something different this time, I guess,” seeing as I’ve already died several times.’
While discussing his White Lotus character – best known for some of his more unhinged behaviour – he admitted that the season one cast were lucky that they got to set the bar for shock value in the show.
‘Because it was the first season, no one knew what to expect. And so the sort of surprise factor to those shocking scenes was new.
‘Now you kind of expect that there’s going to be those things that set quite a high bar for shock.
‘We were fortunate in that we were the sort of pioneers of the shock value of The White Lotus. I feel very lucky to be part of that. And I got quite a good helping of those shocking scenes.’
Murray is gearing up for even more shocking scenes as he is set to star in A24’s new movie Opus with Ayo Edeberi and John Malkovich.
The film focuses on a group of journalists who are invited to pop sensation Alfred Moretti’s home to hear about his grand return to music. Of course, things take a very sinister turn and it appears that the group is very much in danger.
Murray stars in the film as Stan Sullivan, a music editor who works alongside Ayo’s character Ariel Ecton and takes every opportunity to dismiss her ideas and put her down.

});
Speaking about Stan, the actor revealed that the director – Mark Anthony Green – based the character on a real person.
‘He was sort of based on someone who started and ran the Rolling Stone for a very long time. And not specifically, just a compilation of those kind of guys that are sort of in that old boys’ club.
‘The ones that have been in the music business for a long, long time. And, you know, feel kind of entitled in their position.’
He added: ‘There’s a kind of arrogance and a bit of a patronising, you know, misogynistic kind of vibe, that we were sort of hoping to get.’
The actor revealed that he wasn’t even meant to be involved in the project, but was won over by the incredible director.
‘I was meant to leave and go to Australia and see my family. And then the film came up, and he [Anthony Green] talked me into doing the film, because he’s so incredibly charming and I really loved the material.’
Opus’ message is a criticism of celebrity-obsessed culture, which Murray argues is ‘really worth looking at at the moment’.
‘The film brings up about celebrity culture and how we treat celebrities, and how and people in power like that, that we kind of can tend to deify them or put them on a pedestal.’
He explained that it can be dangerous as it means that if they do something ‘crazy or unacceptable’, we just ‘laugh it off or think of it as a quirk’.
‘The way that we view celebrities in our kind of, you know, obsession with celebrity is fascinating to look at.
‘The film kind of plays with those ideas, and also the flip side of it, as a celebrity, what does that do to you? How does that feel?
‘Celebrity culture is very fickle. So, you know, one day you can be, you know, top of the world, and the next day people are tearing you down.’
Murray has seen his fame increase dramatically in recent years but has found that for him it’s a ‘lovely thing’ as ‘it’s not at a level where it’s sort of out of control.’
‘I love if people respond to my work or it has some sort of resonance with them. Yeah, it’s not, it’s not a, it’s not a bad thing for me.’
He added that he still finds award shows ‘trippy’ and running into big-name celebrities is still rather exciting, but fame is something to always be ‘mindful’ of as an actor.
How does he manage fame? ‘I advise living in the woods.’
He jokes: ‘I mean, I’m very big in the squirrel community. I think they know me, but they’re very respectful.’
Opus is released in cinemas on March 14.

FilmSharon Stone has fired back claiming she was ‘unexpectedly’ dropped from sequel movie Another Simple Favor ‘for no reason.’
The Basic Instinct actor, 67, made the sensational claim in the comments of an E! News Instagram video about the allegations of a feud between the film’s leading ladies Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick.
In her comment, Stone alleged that she was cast and then removed from a role in the sequel.
‘I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it,’ she wrote, adding three clapping emoji.
Stone’s casting hadn’t previously been reported and it’s not known what role she was allegedly due to play.
However, Allison Janney and Elizabeth Perkins, who are also in their 60s, portray the new characters Margaret McLinden and Aunt Linda McLanden in the film.
Another Simple Favor, directed by Paul Feig, is the follow-up to 2018’s A Simple Favor, in which Lively played a con artist named Emily and Kendrick portrayed parenting vlogger Stephanie.
The sequel takes place in the Italian Riviera, where an extravagant wedding unravels into a murder mystery, and features returning stars Henry Golding and Andrew Rannells as well as Italian actor Michele Morrone as Lively’s love interest.
Rumours of a feud between Lively and Kendrick began following the film’s premiere at SXSW in Texas on March 7 due to the Pitch Perfect star’s body language, her unenthusiastic responses in interviews and the lack of photos of the duo together on the red carpet.
However, Feig swiftly shut down the speculation on social media, insisting it wasn’t true, while the former Gossip Girl star included pictures of Kendrick in her Instagram photo round-up of the premiere.
Feig was also forced to silence rumours the film had been cancelled amid Lively’s ongoing lawsuit with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.

‘This is total BS. Sorry. The movie is finished and coming out soon,’ he said.
The Freaks and Geeks creator added: ‘Don’t believe anything you read on social media these days.’
The original poster, Eric B, hit back at Feig and doubled down that it had been cancelled, leading to the Bridesmaid director opening up on the film’s post-production schedule.
Feig wrote: ‘My friend, it’s called post-production, which generally takes over half a year at least when you factor in editing, scoring, special effects, sound mixing, close captioning and all the technical quality control that has to be done.
‘Our post schedule always had us finishing everything by mid-January. Movies don’t come out the second they’re finished because the studio spends the previous year deciding the best date to release it.
‘We’ve always planned on something in the spring/summer of this year. That’s how movies work. I hope this helps.’
The messy legal battle involving Lively, Baldoni, Ryan Reynolds, and the New York Times has continued to escalate.
Gossip Girl star Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment as well as orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
Jane The Virgin actor Baldoni has sued the New York Times and reportedly plans to countersue Lively, claiming he was bullied by herself and her husband.
Another Simple Favor will be released on Prime Video on May 1.
Metro has contacted representatives for Sharon Stone and Paul Feig for comment.

GamingA modern revival of a classic has been reduced to an astronomically cheap price, ahead of a new entry in the series later this year.
If you were listing the most influential first person shooters in video game history, 1993’s Doom would unquestionably be top of the list.
The game popularised the entire genre and has been iterated upon with various sequels since, but its relevance with modern audiences was given a fresh rip and tear in 2016’s Doom by original developer id Software.
This modern refresh of Doom is now cheaper than ever on Steam at just £1.59. That’s so cheap, it’s less than a McDonald’s double cheeseburger and practically every beverage at Starbucks.
This price is only available until Thursday, March 20, so you may have to act fast. If you fancy picking up the entire Doom saga, including its sequel Doom Eternal and all the retro classics, there’s also a Doom Anthology bundle which is 74% off at £21.64.
If you’re on console, unfortunately the cheapest way to play Doom is through a subscription to Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus Extra. The game is available to buy on PlayStation and Xbox at £15.99, and on Nintendo Switch for £16.99, although it is often discounted.
If you’re on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, you can also pick up the Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition, which includes the brutal Ancient Ones DLC, for only £14.99 as part of a PlayStation Store sale.
The sequel is an even better game, with improved variety and a more complex story.
This is all necessary homework for the upcoming sequel Doom: The Dark Ages, which is technically a prequel to 2016’s Doom. The new game looks set to switch up the combat with less emphasis on platforming and more on blocking with a shield in its ‘techno-medieval’ setting.
Doom: The Dark Ages is set to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 15, 2025.

FilmWith the weekend now in touching distance, many of us will be looking for films to binge-watch for the ultimate lazy day.
It can be hard to find the perfect title among a sea of streaming services, but one social media platform can prove vital in curating your watchlist.
Letterboxd is a platform made by film fans, for film fans, where you can share your latest watches, review films, and much more.
As such, it’s the perfect place to find the perfect movie based on Letterboxd’s top-rated films in numerous genres, from horror films to comedy and heart-racing thrillers.
Here, we take a look at what Letterboxd users have deemed the best thriller films – discounting David Lynch’s iconic series Twin Peaks, which came out on top despite not being a movie.
But Twin Peaks aside (sorry, Agent Cooper), these are the top 10 thriller films of all time according to Letterboxd – get your watchlist at the ready.
Kicking off our top 10 we have Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Rear Window.
Starring silver screen icons James Stewart and Grace Kelly, it follows photojournalist L.B. “Jeff” Jefferies who is bound to a wheelchair after injuring his foot.
While stuck in his apartment recovering from his injuries, he observes his neighbours and believes he witnessed the murder of a young woman by costume jewellery salesman Lars Thorwald (Raymond Burr).
Park Chan-wook appears on this list more than once, first entering the fray with the acclaimed 2003 thriller Oldboy.

Park Chan-wook’s erotic thriller The Handmaiden shocked unsuspecting viewers at the time of its release – and it’s easy to see why.
Set in 1930s Korea during a period of Japanese occupation, Sook-hee (Kim Tae-ri) is hired as the handmaiden to Japanese heiress Lady Hideko (Kim Min-hee) by Count Fujiwara (Ha Jung-woo) who tasks Sook-hee with convincing Lady Hideko to marry him.

In the number one spot is Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low, a Golden Globe nominee which has been highly influential in the police procedural genre.

He plans to buy out the company with his life savings, but his plan is thrown into disarray when a group led by Ginjirо̄ Takeuchi (Yamazaki) mistakenly kidnap his chauffeur’s son to ransom him.

FilmConsider this your official warning: ‘One of the best movies of the century’ is about to disappear from Amazon Prime.
It’s hard to imagine a life without social media, particularly Facebook, which is maybe why The Social Network—a film based on the platform’s creation—is such a fan favourite.
Starring Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg, the 2010 movie has long been loved by fans, but it’s earning quite a lot of praise recently as many flock to watch it before it leaves its current streaming service home.
The film, which will depart the streamer on Monday, March 24, follows Mark Zuckerberg, played by Jesse, 41, as he creates a social media site for himself and his fellow students at Harvard University.
Once it’s up and running, he and his business partner, Eduardo Saverin, played by Andrew, 41, watch as their creation turns into a global success, riding the high before then, having to ride a low as the Winklevoss twins, played by Armie Hammer, file a lawsuit claiming the now tech giant stole their concept.
It’s a captivating story in itself, but the fictionalised retelling by the actors and director David Fincher was an immediate winner with fans and critics, going on to earn Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Original Score in 2011.
It also holds a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with many calling it a ‘top ten’ and a ‘classic masterpiece’.
‘This is a “Top Ten” film for me. The performances, direction, cinematography, score, and of course, the incredible Aaron Sorkin screenplay make this film a classic,’ Brandon Collins wrote on the film and TV rating website.
Tina Kakadelis added: ‘The Social Network will go down as one of the best movies of the 21st century, and potentially one of the best movies of all time. It’s Sorkin, Fincher, Eisenberg, and Garfield all at the top of their game.’
‘A tight and intriguing two hours of cinema, which despite its subject matter, manages to remain entertaining and thought provoking throughout,’ Lee Cassanell wrote.
Over on X, @rach_is_talking wrote: ‘The Social Network is the platonic ideal of a movie.’
@nightwingfiim also contributed, writing: ‘If a movie like The Social Network came out today, it would be a frontrunner for best picture easily.’
Critics and fans aren’t the only ones the movie impressed, either. Film heavyweight Quentin Tarantino also enjoyed what it had to offer and told the French film magazine Premiere in 2010, according to Surrey Live: ‘It is number one because it’s the best, that’s all! It crushes all the competition.’
The Social Network has been available to Amazon Prime customers for a while now. However, changes are on the way, and in just 10 short days, it will no longer be an option on the streamer.
Thankfully, it’s not gone from the internet for good. It remains unclear who exactly will take over streaming rights, but the film is available to purchase or rent on Apple TV and Sky for UK viewers.
The Social Network is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

GamingUbisoft has revealed what to expect from its big Rainbow Six Siege X update, which is available to play now in a limited time beta.
Given all its failed live service experiments, including the likes of Hyper Scape and XDefiant, it’s easy to forget Ubisoft managed to land one of the model’s earliest hits, in Rainbow Six Siege.
The shooter is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2025 and continues to be very popular, with the game breaking its all-time peak player record on Steam last year.
Ubisoft is now hoping to set the game up for another decade, through the Rainbow Six Siege X update, which – more or less – makes the experience free-to-play.
After it teased an ‘evolution’ for Rainbow Six Siege last month, Ubisoft has revealed that Rainbow Six Siege X is a widespread revamp, for the visuals, audio, maps, and the rappel mechanic – with one key new addition.
There’s now a new permanent mode called Dual Front, a 6v6 mode where you are tasked with capturing sectors of the enemy base while defending your own. This mode will launch with a new map called District, and with a smaller pool of 35 operators.
While this is being added to the main game when Rainbow Six Siege X launches on June 10, new players can access the mode for free from this date too.
In this new version of the game, which Ubisoft describes as ‘free access’, players can play Dual Front, Quick Match, Onboarding, Events, and Unranked with up to 26 operators for free. The more competitive Ranked and Siege Cup modes, along with more operators, will be locked behind the paid-for premium versions.
One of the big changes for veterans will be the revamped maps, with Clubhouse, Chalet, Bank, Kafe, and Border all set to be overhauled with new ‘visuals, readability, and gameplay flow’. Ubisoft states each new season moving forward will see three new reworked maps.
If you fancy trying out Dual Front before it launches in June, Ubisoft is holding a closed beta from Wednesday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 19 at 7pm UK time across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
To access the beta, you have to receive a code by watching certain streamers on Twitch, which have closed beta Twitch drops enabled. You can find participating streamers on the Rainbow Six Siege Twitch channel, with most advertising it in the title.
To claim your drop, you have to link your Twitch and Ubisoft accounts (there is more information on how to do so here). Those on PC will have their beta access added to the Ubisoft Connect Library, while those on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will receive a platform-specific key they can redeem in the respective store.
This revamp of Rainbow Six Siege comes at a concerning time for Ubisoft, as the company looks to Assassin’s Creed Shadows for aid against its financial woes and potential buyouts.

GamingKonami has released more details about the next mainline Silent Hill game, along with a promising trailer which leans into Japanese horror.
After being left dormant for nearly a decade, Konami has doubled down on Silent Hill with a wave of projects over the past couple of years.
Several of them so far have been very underwhelming, including Silent Hill: Ascension and Silent Hill: The Short Message, but last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake turned out far better than anyone expected, putting the series back on the map to some degree.
Konami is hoping to capitalise on this positive momentum with Silent Hill f, which is the first mainline entry since 2012’s Silent Hill: Downpour and always looked the most promising of the new games. It was first announced in October 2022, but a new Silent Hill Transmission broadcast has shed more light on what to expect.
Silent Hill f is developed by Taiwanese studio NeoBards Entertainment, who have worked on several games as a support studio but are otherwise known only for unloved Resident Evil multiplayer spin-offs, Resident Evil: ReVerse and Resident Evil: Resistance.
As shown in the new trailer, the game is set in Japan and not in Silent Hill itself, which is usually portrayed as being in Maine, US. Although you’d never guess from the visuals or dialogue, The Short Message was set in Germany, so this may suggest that future Silent Hill games will be set in a variety of worldwide locations.
Either way, everything else hits the Silent Hill beats you’d expect, with overlapping worlds, plenty of fog, creepy monsters, and most importantly, combat with a steel pipe. Although the weird, vein like plants are definitely something new.
The game’s protagonist is teenager Shimizu Hanako, who finds her town of Ebisugaoka (based on a real location called Kanayama in Japan) suddenly covered in fog. A synopsis reads: ‘Shimizu Hinako was living her life as an ordinary teenager. That is, until her town is suddenly shrouded in fog and begins to change in a horrific way.
‘Now, she must explore a town she no longer recognises while solving puzzles, fighting strange enemies, and doing everything she can to survive… in order to face the ultimate decision that she must make. This is a tale about a beautiful yet terrifying choice.’
It’s unclear what this choice is, but Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto described the main concept behind Silent Hill f as ‘find the beauty in terror’. It’s a standalone story, but Okamoto said there will be Easter eggs to past games along the way.
On the game’s official website, a content warning gives an indication of what Silent Hill f will cover. ‘This game contains depictions of gender discrimination, child abuse, bullying, drug-induced hallucinations, torture, and graphic violence,’ it reads.
‘The game is set in Japan in the 1960s and contains depictions based on the customs and culture of that time. These depictions do not reflect the opinions or values of the developers or any individuals involved.’
Silent Hill f is written by Ryukishi07, who is known for the When They Cry visual novel games, most notably Higurashi When They Cry, a Japanese horror mystery which has been adapted into a manga and live action films.
Speaking about Silent Hill f during the presentation, Ryukishi07 said: ‘This game was both a return to Silent Hill’s origins as well as a series of new challenges. An easy example of a challenge we faced is whether we can still make Silent Hill work while departing from the titular town.
‘Naturally, from a creator’s standpoint, I feel I can confidently say that what we’ve made is a Silent Hill game. However, we’re interested in seeing how long-time fans of the series feel after playing, and if they agree.’
Silent Hill 2 composer Akira Yamaoka will return to compose the music for the fog world in Silent Hill f, while the overworld music is by Kensuke Inage.
Overall, it looks pretty promising, although it remains to be seen if it will come together under a developer which hasn’t released a major original game before.
There is no release date yet for Silent Hill f, so it might some time away, but it’s set to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
As for other Silent Hill games, Konami is also developing a spin-off game called Silent Hill: Townfall, which is part of a planned anthology series.
